I’ve spent a lot of time over the last two years looking for new waters to fly fish for carp where it’s possible to fish late into the evening. This offers some of the best carp fly fishing in my opinion and avoids getting cooked to a crisp in the summer heat! In most cases these waters offer easy casting opportunities for the less experience fly fisherman plus they have a reasonable head of carp up to 20lbs which is very exciting prospect while you are learning the basics of this method. The most important thing is these venues are far enough off the beaten track to allow for a little peace and quiet, where it’s possible to get some surface action going without being bothered by others. Having invested so much effort in finding these waters you will understand why I only want to share them with my fishing guests. You will learn how to read the Carpes behaviour as it approaches your fly. What presentation options to try when Mixer imitations are blown? You will also learn about leaders and leader material as you learn how to present your flies more effectively. What’s provided? Tackle can be provided, but most fly anglers prefer to use their own. The cost of fishing tickets is covered in your booking. What to bring? You will need to bring suitable clothing, plus food and drink, no alcohol please. Fee One-to-one guiding costs £150 per day* *This price includes fishing permits* How to book? Message me with your contact details so we can arrange suitable dates.
