Read ReviewPike fly fishing is getting more popular each year as specialist Pike anglers tackle large “wild waters” for unknown fish. Bewl Water is perfectly located for anglers living in the South East being only 50 miles from London. With an abundant food supply of Trout, Bream, Roach, Perch and hybrids Bewl offers the possibility of producing large Pike.

Although not an expert Pike fly fisherman, Andy has fished for Pike and Trout on reservoirs for over 40 years. Having become keen on Pike fly fishing in recent years Andy’s knowledge of the mechanics of fly fishing and his knowledge of Pike means he can “fast track” your understanding on how to catch Pike on the fly.

Spring and early summer fishing, during May and June, is the perfect time to fish for Pike as they feed heavily after the rigors of spawning. Pike that feed on Trout are nomadic by nature as are their prey. Pike fly fishing from boats requires a lot of different skills, boat handling and drift fishing while searching different depths, at different speeds, are just a few of them if you’re going to be consistently successful.
