A clear round concave disc with a hole in the centre, that is fitted onto the leader in front of the fly. Make sure that the outer edges of the concave disc face forward. When casting the V- Disc turns side on to the wind and does not interfere with casting distance. When in the water and retrieved the V- Disc turns face on to the direction of the retrieve and wobbles at the same time causing a vortex behind the V- Disc, which causes any fibres on the fly to move in a life like manner. Some Anglers like to fit a micro bead between the hook and the V- Disc to create even more wobble. Use a stop knot in front of V-Disc to prevent V- Disc from sliding up the line. 6- 8lb nylon recommended. V- Discs can be squeezed between finger and thumb to increase the concave effect, which will make it wobble more. Do not over do it, or it will affect the V- Discs ability to turn correctly when being retrieved. Once you have used V- discs and seen how effective they are, it will be very difficult to revert back to just a standard fly. Can be use on most trout waters, if you are not sure ask before using.
