A traditional river nymph of note. It represents the larval and surfacing stage of the Blue Winged Olive insect hatch. It is often fished behind a heavier nymph or under a large "sighter" Dry Fly.

This is a traditional imitative pattern which originated on Lough Corrib. It imitates the very final stages of an emerging Chironomid, a stage which Trout can become extremely focused on in the middle of the day. It has accounted for many large catches and has also been the leading fly on the competitive circuit for many years, particularly during the Springtime.

An amber-coloured version of the famous GRHE nymph. Ideal for fishing sandy bottomed rivers or lakes. Added attractiveness comes with the flash-strip above the thoracs area, imitating an air bubble of an emerging nymph.

The original of the species, imitator of very much nothing but master representation of all food items of fish in running or still water. This variant carries a Silver Thoracs cover which imitates an air bubble, a significant representation of an emerging insect - just as the fish like them - vulnerable.

This is a fantastic variant of the GRHE. It is a lighter dressing, carrying two small J.C. cheeks and a thoracs of Hot Orange, all enveloped in a small soft hackle at the front of the pattern. It is great for all of the Trout species, and can be fished on a variety of line densities. It has gained particular notoriety in Sea Trout circles on Lough Currane in Co. Kerry, where they like ’em small !

Although not a spider in the most traditional of senses, this is a pattern which has gained a great following in recent years. Brought to us by a famous Ghillie form the shores of Lough Corrib, it has certainly collected a vast fan club on the Stillwater scene in the U.K.

A great pattern for the river and Stillwater alike, being a fabulous imitator of all of the upwinged Olive species. This pattern has the original body dressing of the Greenwells Glory, with the addition of gills and tiny Thoracs cover of Pearl Mylar, imitating the air bubble of the surfacing emerger.

This is a pattern given to us by Tommy Tuck, of Tucks fishing tackle shop, in Oughterard, on the shores of Lough Corrib. Tommy rates this fly highly as a pattern for use during the Duckfly (Chironomid) hatch, when it fishes particularly well as the hatch develops during the early part of the day.

A de-dressed Peter Ross, basically a wingless version of the Wet Fly of such repute, which utilises a split J.C. feather, tied in at the thoracs area to imitate the air bubble of an emerging nymph.
