Jakes have become a favourite bait for big water specialists, this flat sided minnow bait responds well to the occasional twitch that knocks it off balance triggering aggressive stikes, 150mm model dives to 2 - 4’ and trolls to 10’ while the 200mm Jake dives 3 - 6’ and trolls to 20’. Jakes work on a variety of retrieve speeds, can be trolled up 5 mph, lovely body wobble and low frequency rattles, a ’big pike’ lure, heavy duty construction makes Jakes suitable for exotic fresh and saltwater predators. I often leger troll the 200mm [8"] model, a very successful tactic that allows me to keep a slow wobbling bait just off the bottom (Andy). |
